A view from the parking area
We came across some stories online about a purported
haunting at the Tindall Bridge, in Ohio.  All the accounts that we
found were pretty similar, so here are the basic details.  It is
said that this place is haunted by the ghost of a murder victim
from the 1950s.  Supposedly she roams the area under the
bridge, crying and asking for help.  Several years ago another
murder victim was found in the field just across from the bridge.

A slight variation claims that there was a child born out of
wedlock, so it was thrown over bridge and left for dead.  The
crying spirit there is supposed to be that of the mother
searching for the child.

What stood out most to us was the complete lack of details.
Quite typical with most urban legends there are no names
known, no actual dates, nothing documented whatsoever.  Are
there any actual witness to these events?  If so, our research
didn't lead us to any.  If anybody has information that might be
useful to us, please visit our 'Contact Us' page to let us know.

Tom and Terry arrived at the Tindall Bridge mid afternoon on a
sunny, but cool, day in March 2010.  Wanting to get a feel for
the place during the daytime we gathered what equipment that
we thought would be useful now and headed down under the
bridge.

It became obvious that there would be three noisy obstacles
for us to overcome.  The cars coming over the metal-grate
bridge, the wind, and the water from river.  As Tom anticipated,
all were quite evident on our audio recordings, even more so
when we were closer to the river.

During the day there were just too many cars passing over the
bridge.  Barely a minute would pass without a car rumbling
overhead.  This was only intended to be a preliminary daylight
visit, so we packed it up for now.

Returning later that night we agreed that based on the location
we would set up for a paranormal stakeout instead of a
traditional investigation.  Utilizing our cameras, voice recorder,
night vision scope and parabolic dish our hope was to catch
and record the cries for help that people report hearing at this
spot.  Even at night, and in a rather rural area, we couldn't
believe how many vehicles were still passing by.

This was a good location to employ the use of our night vision
equipment and parabolic dish.  Even though it was a little bit
windy, we could still pick up a variety of sounds to make it
useful.  If there is a "cry for help", we would hear it.

It was quite dark, making any photos as night just useless.
Which is why you don't even see any night time photos posted
here online.  Unfortunately, it was even to dark for infrared
photos.  Realizing that with the fairly persistent traffic, and lack
of being able to use any cameras or video cameras, that we
might as well pack it in for the Tindall Bridge.  If we can’t
capture any viable evidence, there is no point in remaining
here.

In the time we spent here neither Terry or Tom had any
personal experiences, came upon any anomalies that could
even possibly be considered paranormal, or heard any cries for
help.  In short, we obtained no evidence.  If there is any
paranormal activity here at the Tindall Bridge, it was not
apparent tonight.  Overall, we were not able to confirm, or
debunk, any part of the haunting that purportedly occurs here
