CPSI is a private, not for profit, group dedicated to studying and investigating claims of the paranormal. We use a scientifically-minded approach to our investigations, as opposed to a metaphysical one, to obtain non-disputable evidence of the paranormal. We do not use Ouija boards, dowsing rods, or séances as part of our investigations due to their questionable scientific nature. We are looking for the truth...for evidence. We maintain an optimistically skeptical attitude in all of our investigations, however, that which cannot be disproved may be potential evidence.
We do not charge for our investigations or consultations...we cannot guarantee any specific results or findings. To better assist us with being able to help others, we do carry liability insurance. We are not cleansers, or exorcists, and we make no claim that we have the ability to remove a spirit or entity from a location. We seek only the truth.
We are based out of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, but do not limit ourselves to only that region. We do not present ourselves as experts, for when it comes to the paranormal, no true experts exist. We are selective in choosing our investigators and members and will only accept those who will compliment our style of investigation and add to the general productivity of our organization.

CPSI is Tom's baby. He is CPSI. When he gets an idea,
he will research beyond belief until he gets everything that
can possibly be found. Based on his collected information,
we decide where our services are most needed, and
exactly what type of investigation we will be doing. He is a
Lead Investigator, as well as our founder.
Tom is difficult to catch in a photograph. When he shows
up in a picture, it's either a group photo or we just get a
part of him. Of course, when you're as busy as he is
during an investigation, you have no time to pose.
Besides being the founder of our organization, Tom brings
to the group a love for the paranormal, as well as the
education, knowledge, and drive to make a successful
investigation. Tom is a member of MUFON, as well. Visit
his MySpace page at www.myspace.com/cpsi_paranormal.

Heidi has been there since the begining. Since before
there even was a CPSI. She loved the idea of the group,
because she has always had an interest in the
paranormal, and she loves science. So, this is practically
second nature to her. Heidi is great with a camera, and
knows her way around a computer, too. In addition to
being the CPSI co-founder, she is a Lead Investigator as
well.
Heidi loves research, history, and learning new things.
She is always willing to take on new projects, which brings
an ease and comfort to the group. When she says she'll
take care of it, you can count on it getting done.

Bryan's knowledge of the paranormal, and the equipment
used during investigations to collect data, is extensive. At
any given time he jumps right in with both feet. His
research has proved invaluable and he joked once that he
has developed an addiction to this "craft". He's a real "go
getter" in that he will contact anyone at a moment's notice
to ask questions, do research, or setup and schedule a
case. Many of the investigations that we've now done
were brought to us either by, or through, him.
So, when it became necessary to fill the position of case
manager, it was a no brainer that it would be Bryan. Even
though he's been an investigator with us for quite some
time now, he has been recently moved up to the position of
Lead Investigator, too. Bryan is a great help in the
research department, and one of the reasons that we are
able to do what we do. Also, you can check out his
MySpace page at

Tom began CPSI back in early 2004, after being a part of a larger, national ghost hunting organization. However, he was looking for something more tangible, something where like-minded people could work together to find the truth about what's out there. Since this was before the premier of a popular ghost hunting show on the SyFy ChannelTM, legitimate paranormal research groups in the south western Pennsylvania area were scarce. So, together with his good friend, and fellow paranormal enthusiast, Heidi, they formed CPRI. A name which shortly after would be taken by another more well know group elsewhere in the U.S. So, from that became CPSI, and our goal...Seeking Truth in the ParanormalTM.

As one of our investigators, Scott, has definitely proven
himself to be a valuable member. He joined us shortly
after moving here from Florida. So, not only does he have
ghosts to contend with, but our lovely winters here as well.
Scott has been interested in the paranormal, ghost hunting
especially, for a while now. So, he is a perfect candidate
for an Investigator. He was lucky enough to have once
lived in a haunted house, too. Having done a few things
on his own, he sought us out to get more involved in
paranormal investigating. As a software engineer, we
knew that he would certainly be an asset to us in the office
as well as in the field. Stop by his MySpace page at

JAIMIE
Jaimie has been with us for several years now and has
always been a big asset to us during our investigations as
an Investigator. In fact, you won't find many cases that she
hasn't been on since she has joined us. So, it was only
natural for her to step up and take on the role of Evidence
Manager when the need arose.
Having a background in photography has helped her with
adapting to the various equipment that we use. It didn't
take much right from the beginning for Jaimie to jump right
in and get acclimated to the paranormal investigation field.
She can be found online, too, at MySpace
